The 2024/25 MFL Challenge Cup for the Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Finals this season will be played on a return basis. Selangor FC will meet KDN FC for the Quarter Finals, today, 12th December, for the Away match and 22nd December for the Home match.
According to Selangor FC Head Coach, Katsuhito Kinoshi, he is confident that the remaining players will be ready and step-up to the challenge.
"We cannot complain about being tired even though the matches are two to three days apart. I reminded the players that if they want to be great players and good teammates, they need to play more matches and deal with it. Although the players who join the national team may not be able to attend training, I believe Selangor has many talented players who can step up and fill in the gaps in the team. I hope for more from them today, and I also hope that they can face this challenge," Kinoshi hopes.
As for the availability of the players, Noor Al-Rawabdeh has an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury, Ruventhiran has a tissue injury in his leg, while Nikola Jambor is undergoing a rehabilitation session for a hamstring injury. In addition, Khuzaimi Piee, Kalamullah Al-Hafiz and Harith Haiqal are currently with the Harimau Malaya camp to face the Mitsubishi Electric ASEAN Cup 2024. Apart from them, other players are ready to field tonight's match.
The Selangor FC management is always behind the team to face this match. Keep up the momentum, Red Giants!
